Installing the plugin
You will need to download the geo-location plugin for us to locate you so you can play. This should start automatically when you load a game that is not in Demo mode, but you will need to make sure pop-ups are enabled for the plugin to run. For instructions on how to enable pop-ups on supported browsers, please check our FAQ here.
We recommend using the browser Google Chrome as this has been extensively tested and is highly compatible with our games and the plugin for our site. You can find and install Google Chrome here. Please be aware that the plugin is a 32-bit application, which means that it may encounter technical issues when in use with a 64-bit internet browser.
I have enabled pop-ups but the plugin did not install. What can I do?
If the plugin has not started downloading automatically for you, you can get the plugin from the following link by copying and pasting this into your browser: www.virgincasino.com/#/downloadlocateplugins
Once you have downloaded the plugin you need to ensure that it's installed and running on your computer.
I've downloaded the plugin, but it's asking me to download it again. Why?
If you are being asked to download the plugin again, then it means the plugin is not fully installed or running for you on your browser. To resolve this, we would advise trying another browser like Google Chrome, or making sure the plugin is being allowed to be installed by any security software on your computer.
Please also ensure that the plugin is enabled for use. This varies by browser. On Chrome, you can check that this has been installed by typing the following into your address bar: chrome:\\plugins.
Check that the 'Always Allow' box next to the GeoComply plugin is checked and then close the browser. This will ensure the plugin is always active.
If our plugin is not listed in chrome:\\plugins, then this most likely means that you have downloaded the plugin but not installed it completely.
You can check your downloads by clicking the 3 line bar button or Wrench symbol in the top right of your Chrome internet browser window. You can then select 'Downloads' and this will show a list of all the files you have downloaded. If you were able to download the plugin correctly, then it will appear towards the top in this list. You can then double click on the file name to run the plugin and follow the installation steps on the screen.
I am using Mac OS X and I get an error when the plugin downloads. What is this?
We have found that people with OS X Mac Computers can receive an error as the plugin is shown as being from an unidentified source. This is due to the "Gatekeeper" feature which can stop applications and add ons being installed if they are not obtained through the App Store. For instructions on how to override this, please see here.
I am using a Chromebook and cannot install the geolocation plugin.
Unfortunately, our site cannot be accessed from Chromebook devices, as these devices are only capable of running programs that can be downloaded from Google's Play Store.
Where is the plugin on my desktop?
The plugin is an added piece of software which works alongside your browser that you use to access the internet, not a separate program. Once it is installed on your computer or laptop, you don't need to look for it or run it separately - it works with your browser and will work for you each time you load the game! You only need to download and install this once per computer or laptop as it will work with whichever Internet Browser, although we generally recommend Google Chome as this tends to work best with the Plug In.
I have the plugin, but it can't locate me. What should I do now?
