Why won't my games load?
FollowThere can be a number of reasons why you are having difficulties loading our games. Normally these are caused by connection issues between your computer and our servers.
Firstly, we would advise making sure you have the most up-to-date version of your browser, as this can help resolve any connection issues you are having.
If you have the most up-to-date version of your browser and you are still unable to load the games, check the most common queries below to see if that can help you get playing as soon as possible.
When I click on the games, I just get a blank colored screen. What can I do?
If your games are not loading at all and you just get a blank screen in a new window, you need to update your Flash Player or make sure it is enabled.
Flash Player is the software all of our games use to run, so you will need to make sure this is up-to-date. You can find more information on how to update Flash Player using our FAQ here.
The games start to load but the loading bar gets stuck. What is wrong?
Firstly, try clearing your Temporary Internet Files and Cookies. You can find out how to clear your Temporary Internet Files on your browser by clicking here.
If this doesn’t help, you may need to clear the Temporary Files that are stored in your Flash Player (known as your ‘Flash Cache’). For information on how to clear your Flash Cache, please click here.
Our games also require a stable Internet connection. If the loading bar is going slowly or the game is not appearing once the loading bar has completed, you may need to check your Internet connection speed.
How do I check my Internet speed?
You can check your Internet speed online by typing ‘speed test’ in your search engine and using one of the links available. Peak periods with your carrier may be slower than your expected Internet speed, or there may be maintenance on your Internet service that limits what sites you can load.
Before contacting your Internet carrier, you may wish to check your router or modem that you are using to connect with. If your connection is wireless, make sure you have a good signal and your computer or laptop is connecting correctly.
If your Internet connection is through a router, you can ‘power cycle’ your router to help ensure your connection is stable. This is simply turning it off, leaving it for 15-30 minutes, then turning it on again. This will allow your router to start over and re-establish a connection to the Internet, hopefully without re-encountering the problem that was stopping the connection from working initially. You may need to do this twice if it does not work the first time.
If you have tried all of these options and are still having problems please feel free to contact our Customer Support Team for further advice using our Live Chat facility through the link on the right of this page.
