What is happening and when?
In order to provide a better online gaming experience and adopt the best practices for the safety of our patrons' personal information, we will be no longer be supporting an older security standard (known as TLS 1.0/TLS 1.1 Encryption). The newest supported version is TLS 1.2. The TLS protocol (triggered when connecting to a website via HTTPS) protects member’s personal information when logging in, playing our games, and wagering on our websites.
You may receive an error message when attempting to access Virgin Casino from an unsupported browser or device and will need to update to a supported version.
Why is this happening?
TLS 1.0/TLS 1.1 is no longer considered secure by industry standards and is gradually being discontinued by different online services. This change is mandated by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Council with whom we and some of our partners are obliged to comply with in ensuring security best practices in the provision of online card-based transactions services and associated services. Newer TLS protocol versions are supported by current and most recent browser versions and Operating Systems. Thus, we kindly request you to perform the test below, and follow any additional instructions, at your earliest convenience.
Who will be affected?
Members using older mobile (Android and iPhone) devices and PCs, running legacy operating system (Android, iOS, Windows, OSX) and web browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox) versions.
How can I check if my system is compatible?
Please click on this test site.
1.If you get a ‘TLS 1.0 Deactivation Test Passed’ message on the screen, you should not be impacted by this change, and no further action will be required.
2.If you get a ‘Secure Connection Failed’ message on screen (please view screen shot below), please follow the instructions further below.
